European Students Run 2026

Accommodation & catering

Where to sleep and eat?

Ljubljana is a charming city, offering a variety of accommodation and catering options.

Ljubljana has a diverse range of over 60 hotels, ranging from budget to 5-stars; and over 20 youth hostels - suiting every budget. Most accommodations are located within a 20-minute walk or 15-minute public transport ride, allowing you to stay in the heart of the action.

Ljubljana is a paradise for hungry runners. Whether you are looking for a quick carb-load before the race or a celebratory feast after, the city offers everything from traditional Balkan grills to modern vegan bistros. Street food offers a variety of choices, with burek/falafel starting from 3 EUR, you can grab a burger from 4,50 EUR or pizza from 9 EUR. You can also enjoy the food in restaurants, with full meals from 10 EUR onwards.

Since Ljubljana is a relatively small city, and in 2026, the NLB Ljubljana Marathon is expected to bring record numbers of participants, it's strongly suggested and recommended that the accommodation arrangements are done as soon as possible.

Please note that this is not a standard EUSA European Universities Championship, so accommodation and catering are not provided as part of the registration fee. Accommodation and catering arrangements are responsibility of participants.
